Linda Burney Fuhr, EA
Linda is our Partner in charge of Production and Client Services. She is an Enrolled Agent, tested and licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. As an Enrolled Agent, she has reciprocity in all fifty states and is required to maintain continuing professional education, ethics, and periodic licensing renewal requirements as prescribed by the Office of Professional Responsibility of the Internal Revenue Service. Linda holds the somewhat unusual position of being a non-CPA owner of a Texas CPA firm. In this capacity, Linda must adhere to the same standards as her CPA colleagues with respect to professional conduct, ethics, and continuing education as set forth by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
Linda has been a tax practitioner, affiliated with various accounting firms in the Lewisville area since 1985. She has a broad range of experience in tax preparation and tax planning for individuals, various business entities, estates, trusts, and tax-exempt organizations. Linda has an extensive background representing taxpayers before the IRS including Audit and Collections Issues; IRS Appeals; Innocent Spouse Relief; Offers in Compromise; and Taxpayer Advocacy cases. She is frequently consulted by family law attorneys to analyze the income tax considerations of divorce settlements.
Linda is a graduate of Chadron State College, Chadron, Nebraska and pursued graduate studies in Health Care Administration at Texas Women’s University, Denton, Texas. She is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) and has been a contributing author for NATP’s Tax Pro Monthly. Linda has also participated in consulting engagements with Prometric as a Subject Matter Expert for the development of the IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer Examination as well as recent revisions to the Special Enrollment Examination which is required for individuals wishing to obtain credentials as an Enrolled Agent.
Linda is active in many civic and church affairs, having previously served as facilitator for weekly Businesswomen’s Bible Studies and has written bible study courses for these events. She is a graduate of the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lewisville Class of 2000 and currently volunteers with PediPlace, a non-profit organization providing pediatric health care services to uninsured and under-insured families throughout North Texas.
Linda resides in Lewisville and is a proud mother of five young adults and grandma to seven of the most adorable children God ever created.
