Owen is the Managing Partner of the Firm. He is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Southern Methodist University.

Owen has a technical background in accounting issues and preparing financial statements in accordance with standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, of which the Firm is a member. He has provided testimony as an expert witness in both court and commercial arbitration appointments. In addition, Owen has invaluable experience as a Receiver for troubled companies and has performed in this capacity with the FDIC – Resolution Trust Corporation and for the 188th District Court of Denton County.

He was the Senior Asset Analyst for real estate acquisitions of Henry S. Miller/Kidder Peabody public and private placement funds. In addition, his experience includes acting as a principal in the acquisition of a manufacturing company, serving as Assistant Tax Manager of the Trammell Crow Company and as an Audit and Tax Associate for Price Waterhouse & Company. Owen is also a licensed real estate broker and a licensed securities representative.

Owen lives on a ranch north of Gainesville, TX, raising cutting horses and beef cattle. Owen competes on horseback in ranch sorting national events and maintains a high ranking in this fast growing and exciting sport. Owen’s three children are grown, have graduated from their respective colleges and are gainfully employed. He enjoys visits from his grand children who live in the D/FW and Houston areas. Owen has been involved in various charities in both Lewisville and Gainesville. We are excited that Owen was chosen 2008 citizen of the year by the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce, and is a graduate of the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce – Leadership Lewisville, Class of 2001.
